Privacy Policy
How Payaam collects, uses, and protects personal data. Plain language. No tricks.
Who we are
This site is operated by Payaam Ltd ("Payaam", "we", "us"), an AI-native transformation consultancy for UK recruitment agencies. Payaam is the data controller for personal data collected through this site.
Contact: harvey@payaam.co.uk

What we collect
We collect only the information you give us when you fill in a form on this site. Specifically:
- Your name (required for our lead-magnet forms)
- Your work email address (required for our lead-magnet forms)
- Your agency or company name (optional)
- Source data — if you arrive via a tracked link (e.g. ?src=linkedin), we record that so we know which channel sent you
We do not collect special-category data. We do not buy lists. We do not scrape personal data from third-party sources for marketing.
Why we collect it
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To deliver what you asked for — e.g. emailing you the diagnostic PDF, the AI-Native Company Scorecard, or other resources you have opted in to receive.
- To stay in touch about AI transformation for UK recruitment agencies — occasional educational emails, new resources, and offers relevant to your role. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- To improve what we do — aggregated, non-identifying analytics on which content resonates.
Lawful basis
Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases for processing your personal data:
- Consent — when you submit a form to receive a resource and join our list, you are consenting to receive that resource and ongoing emails from Payaam. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interest — for the basic operation of this site (e.g. hosting, security logs) and for following up with you about a fit call you have booked with us.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party processors to operate the site and deliver our communications. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement with us and processes data only on our instructions.
- MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Lithuania / EU) — email delivery and list management.
- Netlify (Netlify Inc., USA) — website and serverless function hosting. Transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Google (Google Ireland Limited) — calendar bookings for fit calls.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for advertising. We do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. If you unsubscribe, your contact record is suppressed in MailerLite so we do not contact you again, but a minimal record may be retained to honour that suppression. You can request full deletion at any time.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access — ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction — ask us to stop processing your data in certain ways.
- Portability — ask for your data in a portable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for any reason, with no negative consequences.
To exercise any of these, email harvey@payaam.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.
Complaints. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first — please email us before escalating if you can.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses minimal cookies. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Any cookies set are functional (e.g. so the site works correctly) or aggregated and anonymous (e.g. basic visit counts).
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — including TLS encryption for all form submissions, restricted access to our email platform, and regular review of our processors.
Children
This site and its services are intended for business audiences only. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
